Regulatory Audits

The regulatory bodies in NSW, Victoria and Queensland use third-party auditors to conduct regulatory food safety audits of licensed businesses on their behalf.

Our auditors at Safe Food Australia are regulatory food safety auditors (RFSA) also known as third-party auditors (TPA).

FeedSafe Audits

Gillian is an associate member of Stock Feed Manufacturers’ Council of Australia and is accredited to conduct FeedSafe audits for feed manufacturers.

Internal Audits

Internal audits assist businesses to comply with both the regulatory requirements, HACCP and their food safety plan.

Safe Food Australia can conduct internal audits which includes an onsite audit and complete review of their program and monitoring records.


Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) is an international recognised accreditation system. It allows businesses to build on their reputation for the safety of their products to both current and prospective customers.

Aged Care Food Safety Audits

In order to protect vulnerable people within our communities such as older persons, young children and people who have weakened immune systems due to illness, it is a requirements that these businesses implement a documented and audited food safety program to meet the regulatory requirements of their state or territory.

Safe Food Australia specialises in audits where food is served to vulnerable persons. Our auditors have many years’ experience with aged care homes, hospitals and child care centres including developing food safety programs, conducting food safety training and conducting both internal and regulatory food safety audits (third-party audits).

Businesses that provide food service to vulnerable persons include;

  • Aged Care Facilities
  • Hospitals
  • Delivered meal organisations such as Meals on Wheels
  • Childcare centres (QLD, VIC)

Dairy farm audits

Safe Food Australia conducts regulatory audits for dairy farms for both standalone farms and those supplying milk to major processors in NSW. Once licensed with the Regulatory body dairy farms require regular audits to demonstrate compliance with the Legislation and Food Standards.

Food Regulation 2015 (NSW), including relevant parts of the Dairy Food Safety Scheme ·
